What we collect and store

While you visit our site, we’ll track:

Products you’ve viewed: we’ll use this to, for example, show you products you’ve recently viewed

    Who on our team has access

    Members of our team have access to the information you provide us. For example, both Administrators and Shop Managers can access:

    Order information like what was purchased, when it was purchased and where it should be sent, and Customer information like your name, email address, and billing and shipping information.

    Our team members have access to this information to help fulfill orders, process refunds and support you.

    What we share with others

    If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

    We share information with third parties who help us provide our orders and store services to you; for example --

    WordPress 

    This is a WordPress website. WordPress uses cookies, or tiny pieces of information stored on your computer, to verify who you are. There are cookies for logged in users and for commenters. Read the WordPress Codex for more information.

    WordPress.com Secure Sign On only tracks activity when an attempt is made to log in via this method.

    Jetpack Stats monitor Post and page views, outbound link clicks, referring URLs and search engine terms, and country. This is used for aggragate statistics (trends and patterns); for example, the site owner can see that a specific post has 285 views, but not which specific users/accounts viewed that post.

    Jetpack Protect checks login activity and tries to block fraudulent attempts using the following data: IP address, email address or username.

    This website uses Google Analytics which uses cookies to ‘remember’ what a user has done on previous pages / interactions with the website to help track web usage statistics. Google Analytics does not store any personal information about website users. Read the Google Analytics privacy document for more details.

    Remarketing

    We use remarketing to advertise online. Third-party vendors, including Google and Meta, show our ads on sites across the Internet. Third-party vendors, including Google and Meta, use cookies and/or device identifiers to serve ads based on past visits to our website.     Payments

    Caching

    This site utilizes caching in order to facilitate a faster response time and better user experience. Caching potentially stores a duplicate copy of every web page that is on display on this site. All cache files are temporary, and are never accessed by any third party, except as necessary to obtain technical support from the cache plugin vendor. Cache files expire on a schedule set by the site administrator, but may easily be purged by the admin before their natural expiration, if necessary.     Preventing spam

    This site is protected by reCAPTCHA and the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply.

    A “CAPTCHA” is a turing test to tell human and bots apart. It is easy for humans to solve, but hard for “bots” and other malicious software to figure out. This helps to keep the site functional and provide a smooth user experience.

    StART Art Classes Mailing List is Opt-in only, and our identity is clearly visable. We use our mailing list to You can unsubscribe any time using the link at the bottom of every email.

    Email

    Your email address will help us support your shopping experience throughout the site. Typically this involves sending you emails with order details in, and, if you are taking a course, your progress through the course.

    How long we retain your data

    If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

    When shopping, we keep a record of your email and the cart contents for up to 30 days on our server. This record is kept to repopulate the contents of your cart if you switch devices or needed to come back another day.

    Stats logs containing visitor IP addresses and WordPress.com usernames (if available) are retained by Automattic for 28 days.

    We generally store information about you for as long as we need the information for the purposes for which we collect and use it, and we are not legally required to continue to keep it. For example, we will store order information for 3 years for tax and accounting purposes. This includes your name, email address and billing and shipping addresses.

    What rights you have over your data

    If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
