DescriptionSummary: Drawing should be fun right? It’s quick and easy to draw anywhere; all you need is a sketch book and a pen or pencil and you're good to go! This is partly true but another key aspect to enjoying drawing is understanding the fundamental techniques required to depict something quickly and accurately. Over this five week course you will learn a variety of fundamental techniques such as perspective, tone and geometry to provide you with the skills and confidence to embark on your own drawing journey and enjoy it.
Your Tutor: Hello, my name is Will Assheton. I am a freelance artist and illustrator with several years of experience under my belt in both the artworld and the teaching world. After four years of studying drawing at City & Guilds and Camberwell college of art I graduated in 2016 and went on to do an intensive course at the Royal Drawing School. Since then I have been freelancing as an artist taking on private and public commissions. In 2017 I started up the perfecting perspective drawing course which was intended to help people develop their understanding techniques like perspective and tone and ultimately improve their ability to draw and create. I have run this course in and around London working from many different landmark sites such as Tate Britain, The British Museum and The Dulwich Picture Gallery. Along side this I have done some one to one tutoring with students studying a range of different subject matters from anatomy to illustration. Over the last two years I have been working on my further education Diploma in Education and Training to better understand the classroom environment and how to make a fun and diverse creative space.
