‘Rekindle Creativity’ is an art course about improving your creative thinking and creative play. Designed to help you get over creative block, generate new ideas and explore techniques to get your creative juices flowing. You will be introduced to easy and fun creative exercises which you can utilize whenever you need a creative jump-start or as part of regular art practise. You will learn how to fit creativity into your day-to-day, how to find inspiration and keep it for a rainy day.

We will play some art games including 'Drawful' and 'Up-a-Bit' to warm-up and have fun. You can expect to engage in a number of creative exercises including zen doodling, inkblot drawing, the incomplete figure test, exquisite corpse, ideas machine and others. You will get to try out different art materials (provided) to discover what your options are and which ones you connect with most. This particular class isn't focused on any particular medium; it is about discovery and trying things out.

Our classes are small, chilled-out and social. Note: If you have a class just before this one you are welcome to hang out in the studio, order take-out or whatever.

If you have any questions please contact us.

Amy Letts

Amy Letts is a visual artist living and working in Oxford, UK. She creates paintings by combining traditional and modern techniques including materials. Amy Letts often depicts landscapes and nature, especially local landscapes from Oxford. She also enjoys creating fantasy paintings inspired by mythology and comics.

While Letts’ style is recognisable, it is frequently experimental and evolving. While this artist will often go back to the same themes, it is with a new approach almost every time. Therefore Amy Letts’ style is best described as: “always something new.” If you’ve seen one exhibition, believe me, you haven’t seen everything!

Amy Letts has vast knowledge and skill with many mediums including Watercolours, Acrylics, Oils, Coloured Pencils, Ink, Graphite, Charcoal, Soft Pastels, Oil Pastels, Digital Illustrations and 3D Printing. She actively participates in art workshops and community events, sharing her expertise and encouraging aspiring artists to pursue their passion. She regularly runs classes from her studio for StART Art Classes and creates YouTube Videos to share her creative process.
