WHAT TO EXPECT
Morning - Art Prompts & Private Practise, independant exploration and relaxation
Afternoon - Outings to the mansion & castle, walking, sketching and photography in the 800 acre estate.
Evenings - Workshops, games & group activities
Activities will be flexible and weather dependant. You will always know what is happening and when, and how much you want to participate is up to you.
WHAT TO BRING
The most important thing to bring is yourself!
We will provide drawing boards, pencils and paper, plus watercolour sets to use during the weekend.
- We recommend bringing your own art materials if you have them, in particular any materials you would like to use!
- We will be walking quite a lot, so walking boots and waterproofs are recommended
- A portable chair is handy for painting or drawing in nature e.g. folding fishing seat
- A water bottle
- A camera for taking inspiring reference photos (a phone camera is fine).
FOOD
The farmhouse is self-catering. There will be staples available and we will try to do communal cooking for most meals (if you want to be involved). Most likely simple things like jacket potatoes, pasta, stir fry, sausage & mash etc. It'd be default vegetarian (customise as you see fit). You'll probably be asked to help out a few times, but let me know if you love, or hate, cooking! It would be nice to go out once or twice but we'll see what everyone is up for.
YOUR TUTOR

Amy Letts - Professional Artist Tutor
Amy Letts teaches with relentless positivity and endless encouragement. She believes everyone's unique artistic voice is important and deserves to be heard.
Amy is autistic and art is her special interest, meaning she is enthusiastic to 'info-dump' about it to willing participants! She is skilled at breaking down the artistic process into simple steps that make sense, and helping students to take the steps they need to progress.
Drawing from life is part of her regular practise, and she loves to share the joy with others. So often we go through life without really appreciating what is around us and this is a tool we can use to be more connected and mindful.
