Description
This is a SPOOKY 2-hour worshop where you will have the opportunity to sketch from a variety of genuine animal skulls (natural and ethically sourced). Join the workshop to enjoy this macabre and fascinating subject. Through direct observation you will be able to draw real skulls from life, with expert guidance. Our selection includes: Sheep, Hare, Munkjack Deer skulls and a Bird skelleton.
You will be taught how to use chalk and charcoal to create realistic tone, then add details including cracks, texture and natural decomposition patterns.
This workshop is aimed at beginners; no experience necessary.
Your teacher, Amy Letts, will possibly be wearing vampire teeth, but she doesn't bite! Happy Halloween!
Materials:
Grey paper, chalk and charcoal, 0.5 fine line unipin, black colouring pencil. Optional scary touches: red ink.
All materials are available to borrow. I encourage students to get the materials if they can to enable practise at home.
