Description
Start Painting Watercolour Landscapes 2023 is a great course for beginners and continuing artists. Learn about Landscape Painting in Watercolours by learning techniques and how to apply them to 5 different types of Landscape: a Snowscape, a River, a Country Road, a Harbour and our 'local landscape': Oxford's South Park.
This course contains new material, so, if you've studies Watercolour Landscapes with me before, you can continue honing your skills with new subjects
This Watercolour Landscape painting course for adult learners is designed to be beginner-friendly and fun! The usual format is: we start with a warm-up activity, then have a go at watercolour techniques that will be explained and demonstrated. We may look at where these techniques originated and inspiring artists who used them. In the second half we we apply these skills, step-by-step, to a landscape painting. This is a 'paint-along' led by a proffessional artist expert who can help you with your pain-points and answer questions.
Materials: We suggest having your own materials so that you can become familiar with them and practise at home, however, we also have materials we can lend out. The most important thing to bring is yourself!
Any watercolour set you have is fine. If you need to buy one I recommend: the Winsor & Newton Cotman Watercolour Sketchers' Pocket Box and 12 piece Brush set. If you simply must have everything view the full list of recommended materials.
Outcomes: You will complete a number of watercolour landscape paintings, proving beyond all doubt thay, yes, you can paint! We expect you to have a lot of fun, and leave with increased awareness, knowledge, skills and confidence.
